Both Embarcadero Plaza (march start), and Civic Center Plaza (march end) are highly accessible by public transit, but personal vehicles will find challenges (traffic, road closures, and parking). If you are coming with a personal vehicle – explore parking at an outlying BART, Muni, or CalTrain station and taking public transit to and from the march.
You can use this handy trip planner at 511.org to map your route using BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, Muni, buses, ferries, or Amtrak.
Many groups are also organizing charter buses from across California (and beyond) – visit the Charter Bus page for information on how you can organize a bus from your community or find a seat on an existing bus.
Yourself, your friends, family, community and more! Feel free to bring signs or visuals that reflect that issues, concerns, and motivations that inspired you to march, but we will have many there. You can also join one of the Art Builds happening most weekends between now and September 8th.
Please be as self-sufficient as possible – dress for being outside in the San Francisco sun (which can turn to fog quickly!) bring reusable water bottles (we will have filling stations at various points), snacks, and anything else you may need to stay healthy and safe. We will have first aid volunteers along the route.
Rise for Climate, Jobs, & Justice wants to ensure a positive and safe experience for participants. We remind all participants to be respectful of others. Violence, threatening speech, weapons, alcoholic beverages, or illegal drugs are not welcome at this event. Many attendees may have substance sensitivities, and we will be in close quarters, please avoid smoking or wearing strong fragrances so that all can participate.
We want to assure that all members of the community can attend this event. There will be accessible restrooms at both the lineup and endpoint. All locations of the march should be accessible to wheelchairs or mobility devices and we are largely on public streets, sidewalks, and parks.
